We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join our dynamic surgical team in Campo, California. As a crucial part of the surgical team, you will assist with preparing the operating room, maintaining a sterile field, and ensuring that surgical instruments and equipment are ready for use. Your expertise will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of patients and the success of surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room by sterilizing instruments and organizing necessary supplies and equipment
• Maintain a sterile field during surgical procedures and pass instruments to the surgical team as needed
• Perform surgical counts before, during, and after surgeries to ensure all instruments are accounted for
• Assist with patient positioning and preparing the surgical site
• Clean and restock the operating room after surgeries
• Adhere to infection control protocols to ensure a safe and sterile environment
• Accurately document surgical counts and patient data in medical records
• Work collaboratively with other members of the surgical team to provide exceptional patient care

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
• Current BLS certification required
• In-depth knowledge of surgical instruments, aseptic techniques, and operating room protocols
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a collaborative team setting
